For several years, my friend, Wade Merry, hosted a Willow Run golf tournament fundraiser for cancer research. I painted this view of number 16 at Willow Run golf course, and donated it as a silent auction item. It did not sell, so I gave the painting to Wade, who I’ve known since about 1962. This hole is special to Wade because a plaque and garden behind the green honors Wade’s wife who passed away due to cancer.
