When SD Trust expanded its office area in downtown Sioux Falls, its leaders asked for a proposal for a painting for a new conference room. Their guidance: make it large and paint a classic SD scene. I had the SD Badlands in mind, and I asked my friend and world-class photographer, Paul Schiller, for resource photos. He gave me dozens. To me, this Badlands scene is the most iconic. SD Trust accepted my proposal. You can see this painting through a window located just north of Myrtle’s Fur Vault and Bar on Main Avenue between 10th and 11th Streets.
