South Dakota Trust, with offices on Sioux Falls and Rapid City, has been a wonderful client of mine for nearly a decade. This painting of is one of four hanging in its offices. Company leaders asked for a painting of the SD state capitol building. I had many reference pics of my own, but I asked my friend and world-class photographer, Paul Schiller, to share some of his photos of the capitol. I used one of Paul’s photos to guide my creation this autumnal view on an overcast day. This painting hangs in the foyer off the Sioux Falls Main Avenue entrance to  SD Trust.
