Each year, I have donated a work of art to the Washington Pavilion for their Gala, a dinner and auction to raise funds for Pavilion programs. In 2018, the Pavilion called on artists to submit an unsigned, 8- by 8-inch work for its silent auction. People would bid not knowing the artists. This painting shows a field located just west of the Sioux River a few miles south of Spring Creek Golf Course. While the bales add some interest, I chose this scene mainly because of the color. I do not know who purchased this painting.
