During one of my previous career chapters, I spent a lot of time in Colorado. Having lived in South Dakota for nearly my entire life, to me the Rockies of Colorado seemed like another planet. I felt compelled to try to paint the “distance” shown in this view. Painting the “value-step-down” representing near-to-far-to-further-to-furthest was challenging! I gave this painting to my niece as a law school graduation present. Her first law job was in Trinity, Colorado.
