My friend, Hugh Venrick of Sioux Falls, spent happy times during his youth living in the Front Range of Colorado. Long’s Peak was nearby. Hugh cherished a small photograph of Long’s Peak. He asked me to create a painting from the mountain, and this is the result. The painting hangs in Hugh’s office in downtown Sioux Falls.
