Minnehaha View
One outcome of the renovation of the Minnehaha Country Club (MCC) lower level was a 12-foot-wide wall at the entrance to the Grill. The Club asked me for ideas that could result in a painting to fill the space. I proposed painting the view of the golf course from the upstairs balcony—fall colors, late afternoon sky, long shadows. I wondered if the MCC board would want a painting of a scene they can view simply by walking to the balcony. However, they accepted my proposal. I am proud my work can be part of the club’s permanent art collection.
