Le Mans Grand Prix

This painting was one of my most challenging. Mark Graham, who sadly passed away several years ago, wanted to photographically enlarge his small black and white photo of the start of the Le Mans Grand Prix. “Enlarge” is an understatement. He wanted to expand it to mural size, roughly 7 feet high by 31 feet long, and mount it on a wall in one of his buildings. Because the small photo’s resolution would not allow such a large expansion, At the request of Mark and his friend and mine, Paul Schiller, asked me to create this painting from the photo. Then, a printing company in Colorado created the mural from my painting.

2017. Oil on Canvas. 18 by 80 inches.
