Each year, I have donated a work of art to the Washington Pavilion for their Gala, a dinner and auction to raise funds for Pavilion programs. Before the Pavilion was established in 1999, and starting in about 1982, I annually donated a work of art to the Sioux Falls Civic Fine Arts Center for auction at its “Arts Night” fundraiser. In 2015, I donated to the Pavilion this painting of a BNSF train. Todd Meierhenry won the bidding at the auction. I recently spotted it hanging in the Meierhenry Sargent LLP law offices on Phillips Avenue.
