Each year, Piper Arts in Sioux Falls donates art and framing to the “Taste of Goodness” auction, a fundraiser for the Bishop Dudley House in Sioux Falls. In 2022, Jon Piper asked me to donate a work of art for the auction. I was happy to help. I created this watercolor showing the front (east) door of St. Josephs Cathedral in Sioux Falls. The cathedral’s twin steeples are iconic, but the stonework, doors, and statue of St. Joseph, too often overlooked, are gorgeous.
