The Outdoor Campus located in Sertoma Park in Sioux Falls is a beautiful, natural area. For years I had wanted to paint an autumnal scene within the Outdoor Campus. This view of a small oxbow lake satisfied my itch. This painting hung in my home for a year or two, until a friend asked me if I would donate art to help raise money for Sertoma, the non-profit civic organization. Sertoma paid me a small base fee to cover art expenses, and I gave them the original and the copyright so they could make and sell prints.
