All Saints 1 and 2

1990. Watercolor on Illustration Board. 11 by 14 inches.

Per my mission to paint historical Sioux Falls buildings, I had to paint the All Saints building—twice. This Prairie Gothic style building was an Episcopal boarding school for girls from 1885 to 1951. From 1951 to 1986, it served as a day school for both boys and girls. The building was unused until 1994 when the Oregon-based Touchmark company purchased the building, renovated it for senior living, and it became known as Waterford at All Saints.
