Each year since the Sioux Falls Washington Pavilion was established, I have donated a work of art to its Gala, which is a dinner and auction to raise funds for Pavilion programs. Before the Pavilion was established in 1999, and starting in about 1982, I annually donated a work of art to the Sioux Falls Civic Fine Arts Center for auction at its “Arts Night” fundraiser. In 2015, I donated to the Pavilion this painting of Phillips Avenue at the 12th Street intersection, looking north during a Thanksgiving weekend slushy snowstorm. Frankly, I lost track of who won the bid.
